Delhi Airport Express Metro Information
Delhi Airport Metro Express is the orange line of Delhi metro that operates from New Delhi Metro Station to Dwarka Sector 21. Delhi Airport Express Metro line was opened in February 2011. The airport express train links Indira Gandhi International Airport. Reliance Infrastructure and CAF was the owner of Delhi Airport Metro Express. The total length of the route is 22.7km out of which 15.7km is built underground. It is the fastest metropolitan train ride in India.
Delhi airport express metro line offer service from New Delhi metro station to Dwarka sector 21. The orange line has a ridership of daily 20,000 passengers. The train travels 135 km/hr and it takes 18 minutes to travel from New Delhi to airport T3. Airport express metro train serve 6 stations. The line is planning to get extended further beyond Dwarka sector 21 towards IFFCO Chowk in Gurgaon. It takes about 20-25 minutes to reach IGI airport from New Delhi Railway Station, the train leaves every 12 minutes.
Airport express metro doesn’t service T1 of the airport, board to shuttle towards T3 to use the service.
Delhi Airport Express Metro Hours
Initially Delhi airport express metro planned to run 24 hours a day but currently the metro operates from 5.15am to 11.30pm. Trains are available at an interval of 15 minutes frequency. The first train departs from 5.30 am from New Delhi railway station and 5.15 am from Dwarka sec 21. The last train departs 11.15 pm from Dwarka sec 21 and 11.30 pm from New Delhi railway station.

Delhi Airport Express Metro runs through New Delhi Station of the Yellow Line till Dwarka Sector 21 Station on Blue Line. Passengers can also check in for IGI T3 Terminal. Service hours are between 5:30 to 23:30.
