The Akshardham temple, built on NH 24, is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan. Built in a record time of 5 years, it holds the Guinness World Record for being the largest and most comprehensive Hindu temple in the world. It offers an enlightening journey through the art, culture and traditions of India.
The temple is open every day (except Mondays) between 9.30am and 6.40am. The entry fee is Rs.170 for an adult, Rs.125 for senior citizens and Rs.100 for children over 4 years.
Mobile phones and photography are not allowed inside the temple.
