Delhi Airport Express Metro Information
Delhi Airport Metro Express is the orange line of the Delhi Metro that runs from New Delhi Metro Station to Dwarka Sector 21. The Delhi Airport Metro Express line was inaugurated in February 2011. It connects the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Reliance Infrastructure and CAF were the owners of the Delhi Airport Metro Express. The total length of the line is 22.7 km, of which 15.7 km is underground. It is the fastest metro train in India.
The Delhi Airport Metro Express line provides service from New Delhi Metro Station to Dwarka Sector 21. The orange line carries 20,000 passengers daily. The train travels at 135km/h and takes 18 minutes to travel from New Delhi to T3 Airport. The airport express train serves 6 stations. There are plans to extend the line beyond Dwarka Sector 21 towards IFFCO Chowk in Gurgaon. It takes about 20-25 minutes to reach IGI Airport from New Delhi Railway Station and the train runs every 12 minutes.
The airport express metro doesn’t serve T1 of the airport, board the shuttle towards T3 to use the service.
Delhi Airport Express Metro Map
The Delhi Airport Express Metro runs from New Delhi station on the Yellow Line to Dwarka Sector 21 station on the Blue Line. Passengers can also check in at IGI T3 Terminal. Service hours are from 5:30 am to 23:30 pm.

Delhi Airport Express Metro Hours
The Delhi Airport Express Metro was originally planned to run 24 hours a day, but currently the metro runs from 5.15am to 11.30pm. Trains run every 15 minutes. The first train departs from New Delhi station at 5.30am and from Dwarka sec 21 at 5.15am. The last train departs at 23:15 from Dwarka sec 21 and 23:30 from New Delhi station.

New Delhi to Shivaji Stadium:

New Delhi to Delhi Aerocity:
- Approximate fare: ₹50
- Distance: Around 16 km
New Delhi to IGI Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport):
- Approximate fare: ₹60
- Distance: Around 19 km
New Delhi to Dwarka Sector 21:
- Approximate fare: ₹60
- Distance: Around 22.7 km
Delhi Airport Express Metro Rules and Tips
Domestic passengers can use the T3 terminal and check in at the New Delhi Metro station. The Airport Express Line offers Wi-Fi services to metro passengers. Complimentary luggage trolleys are available for passengers at the entrance gate and platform at all stations.
