London Tube Station near British Museum

The British Museum is located in Bloomsbury, London. Dedicated to history and culture, the museum holds around 8 million objects. Making it one of the largest museums, its collection shows human history from the beginning to the present day. Founded in 1753, it is largely the collection of Sir Hans Sloane. The British Museum contains the artefacts and antiques from all over the world history. Tottenham Court Road tube station is the nearest station to the British Museum. It is just 500 metres from the station on Great Russell Street, a 5 minute walk or 2 minute taxi ride. There are also buses from the station every 8 minutes. Buses 98 and N98 will take you to the museum in 5 minutes. There are 4 platforms at the station and it is in fare zone 1. The other tube stations closest to the British Museum are Goodge Street, Rusell Square and Holborn.

Tottenham Court Road Tube station serves the Central and Northern lines. The station is directly accessible from Oxford tube station and Holborn tube station on the Central line. On the Northern line there are direct links to Leicester Square and Goodge Street tube stations.
